The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi is a motherboard that supports various processors, including the AMD Ryzen 5000 Series, 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen, Ryzen 4000 G-Series, Ryzen with Radeon Vega Graphics, and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen with Radeon Graphics Desktop Processors. It is equipped with the AMD X570 chipset.
In terms of memory, it has four DDR4 memory slots that can support up to 128GB of RAM. The supported memory speeds depend on the processor being used, ranging from DDR4 1866 MHz to DDR4 4400 MHz using JEDEC standards and even higher speeds using A-XMP OC mode.
For expansion slots, it features one PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot (PCI_E1) that supports PCIe 4.0 x16 mode for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen processors and PCIe 3.0 x16 mode for 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen processors. Additionally, there is a PCIe 4.0/3.0 x16 slot (PCI_E3) that supports x4 mode, and two PCIe 3.0 x1 slots.
The motherboard provides onboard graphics capabilities with an HDMI 1.4 port supporting a maximum resolution of 4096×2160 @ 24Hz. However, onboard graphics are only supported when using Ryzen 4000 G-Series, Ryzen with Radeon Vega Graphics, and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen with Radeon Graphics Processors. The maximum shared memory for onboard graphics is 2048 MB.
For storage, it has four SATA 6Gb/s ports (SATA1-SATA4) and two M.2 slots. The M2_1 slot, connected to the AMD Processor, supports PCIe 4.0 x4 or PCIe 3.0 x4 and is compatible with 2242/2260/2280 storage devices. The M2_2 slot, connected to the AMD X570 Chipset, supports PCIe 4.0 x4 or PCIe 3.0 x4 as well as SATA 6Gb/s, and it is compatible with 2242/2260/2280/22110 storage devices. Additionally, there are two SATA 6Gb/s ports (SATA5, SATA6) provided by the ASMedia ASM1061 chipset.
The motherboard supports RAID 0, RAID 1, and RAID 10 configurations using the AMD X570 Chipset.
In terms of USB connectivity, it features USB ports from both the AMD X570 Chipset and the processor. The AMD X570 Chipset provides 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, 4x USB 3.2 Gen1 ports (available through internal connector), and 6x USB 2.0 ports (2 Type-A on the back panel, 4 available through internal connectors). The AMD Processor provides 2x USB 3.2 Gen2 or USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A and Type-C ports on the back panel, along with 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports.
The audio on the motherboard is powered by the Realtek ALC1220 Codec, providing 7.1-channel high-definition audio. It also supports Optical S/PDIF output.
For networking, it features an Intel I211AT Gigabit LAN controller for wired Ethernet connectivity. It also includes an Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200/AX210 wireless module with support for 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards, MU-MIMO Rx, and Bluetooth 5.2. The wireless module is pre-installed in the M2_WIFI1 (Key-E) slot.
Various internal connectors are available on the motherboard, including power connectors, SATA connectors, USB connectors, fan connectors, audio connectors, and more.
